Sivan Shalom Donenfeld is a Doctoral Student of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. Before studying Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Sivan earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science with a concentration in Dietetics from Montclair State University. After graduating with his BS, Sivan spent time working with community centered farms, getting his hands in the soil, and learned the ins and outs of growing fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. This experience was crucial in his journey to connecting with Nature, plants, and the potent medicinals they share with us. He also earned his Health Coaching certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition during this period of time, fully immersing in all aspects of health and wellness. 

Sivan’s experience with Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine began when he was four years old and was dealing with chronic ear infections. Acupuncture completely resolved what was going on, to the amazement of the Western medicine doctors planning procedures. His passion for the medicine deepened when he experienced health challenges as a teenager, this time in the form of Crohn’s disease - an autoimmune inflammatory bowel disease, and the immense relief and healing he experienced with treatment. His healing journey is that of Spirit, Mind, and Body, and incorporates deep self-reflection into the emotional aspects that manifested into the physical symptoms. He brings this breadth of experience into his sessions. Feeling such significant shifts in his body and life pushed him to dive into this medicine, in order to share the gift of health and wellbeing with his community.

When not in school or studying, Sivan loves to spend time in Nature feeling Sun Light and Ocean Water, and observing the subtle changes as the seasons shift. He also indoor rock climbs, practices yoga, and enjoys making photographs, as well as spending quality time with family and friends.
